A New Day!

They say as on door closes and other one opens. Well TH14 has done a runner to sunnier climes in Barcelona, but a new era in Einnek Football starts today. So it is not all bad news for the Einnek GM!

The first Einnek to be upgraded to the new code is Einnek Four. New code?! I hear you ask. Well, the site may well look very similar to the previous version but a lot has changed in the background. These coding changes will allow me to bring on-line masses of historical data for each Einnek league once I have extracted the information from old datbase back-ups. I really think this will add a new dimension to the game and give managers what they have been long asking for.

The changes will flow across all leagues in the coming days and once complete, EMSAS will get a revamp followed by the EILCT and the main Einnek site. The recently announced rule changes have caused much discussion as I expected. I think most are OK with the major change (retirals) but many were unhappy with the timing.

A decision to delay this part of the changes has been made and once the poll on the website finishes we will see which option people prefer. I do apprecaite that the timing options I have given are not good for everyone, but we have to draw a line somewhere and a full season is just too long to wait for changes vital to the game.

I hope you like the new site look and the new features. Please shout loud if you encounter any problems. It has been tested pretty thoroughly but you can never get everything right for everyone first time so I expect the odd issue in the coming days and weeks.

One door closes on Henry and another one opens for the Intertoto Cup the season after next :P

The new site’s looking good Rich, I especially like the new features on the stats page.

Oh well, leaves a vacancy in the top 4 for mighty Spurs to pinch a spot from the Gooners.

Looking forward to the start, echo Matts comments above.
